Yeovil Hospital has opened nominations for its annual staff awards to recognise and celebrate excellence amongst hospital staff and volunteers and is asking the local community to get involved.
The iCARE Awards aim to reward exceptional employees and volunteers who touch the lives of thousands of patients and visitors every year.
The Patient Award will recognise an individual or team within Yeovil Hospital who has made a real difference to a patient’s care or that of a relative or friend. The winner/s will have shown expertise, compassion and kindness through their work and made the patient experience the best it could possibly be.
Paul Mears, Chief Executive, said: “The iCARE Awards are a chance for us turn the spotlight on those staff and volunteers at Yeovil Hospital who have gone the extra mile to improve the care and experience of patients or their colleagues.
“The NHS is a much valued service by the public and it is easy to take for granted the truly exceptional work which our staff are doing 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
“If you have received, or witnessed, outstanding care here at Yeovil Hospital, we would encourage you to take the time to complete a nomination form. All nominees will be invited to a ceremony in November which we hope to be a real celebratory event for our hospital and the NHS.”
Nomination forms can be requested from the hospital on 01935 384 233, by emailing icareawards@ydh.nhs.uk or by completing the online form: https://www.yeovilhospital.co.uk/get-involved/icare-awards/
The closing date for nominations is Friday 2 September.
