On Friday 17June 2022, Yeovil District Hospital Foundation Trust was the winner of the “Work Placement Employer of the Year” in Yeovil College Shining Stars Awards. From the dedication of our teams to enriching the knowledge and revealing new career possibilities to the younger generations, it is a proud moment when we are acknowledged for our hard work in the local community.
Careers & Workplace Experience Co-Ordinator Elaine Cox added: “Co-ordination of work placements would not be possible without the continued support and engagement of so many colleagues and departments within the Trust. Despite the challenges faced day to day, teams have continued to welcome learners into the ‘real’ working environment providing them with such a valuable insight into the variety of clinical and non-clinical roles. I am delighted that this award recognises those contributions. Broadening learners’ horizons in terms of NHS Careers can help to inform their future career pathways as well as enabling us to develop our own workforce.”
