How to give

Anyone who would like to donate to the appeal can:

  • Pay directly into our bank account. If you are a UK tax payer you can use the downloadable gift aid form which contains our bank account details which allows us to increase your donation by claiming a refund of tax you have already paid on your income. For every £1 donated we can claim Gift Aid tax relief of 25p (see form for more details).
  • Giving Direct. If you are visiting or are a patient and you wish to make a donation you can do so by going to our Fundraising Office in the Convamore building. You will be given a receipt to acknowledge your gift – please make it clear to staff that your donation is for the CT scanner appeal.
  • If you wish to send a donation by post please send cheques made out to: CT scanner appeal to The Fundraising Office, Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Higher Kingston,Yeovil, Somerset, BA21 4AT.
  • Make an Online Donation. www.justgiving.com/yeovilscanner
  • You can create your own donation page with justgiving. This is a safe and secure way to donate to the hospital.
  • A gift in your will. A bequest in your will can take the form of:
    1. A residuary bequest – this is the residue of the estate once the family and loved ones have been provided for the remainder or a proportion of the estate is pledged to one or more charities.
    2. A pecuniary bequest – this is a specific sum of money pledged to the charity.
A bequest enables you to make a planned gift to a charity that you care about. Charitable legacies are paid before tax is deducted, therefore reducing the amount of tax liability on your estate.
  • In memory giving. A donation to the CT scanner appeal could be given in memory of a loved one instead of flowers at a funeral. These donations could be sent direct to the hospital or given through the funeral directors. You could also create an In Memory page with justgiving.
