Urology is a surgical speciality, covering the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and male reproductive organs. We treat many urological cancers, kidney stones, bladder symptoms and incontinence.
Inpatient routine and emergency clinical activities take place at Yeovil District Hospital and we also provide outpatient clinics at South Petherton, Crewkerne and Sherborne.
We treat all urological conditions, but sometimes it may be necessary to arrange specialist treament in hospitals outside Yeovil. We work closely with the regional cancer units.
Common conditions include enlargement of the prostate, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, penile cancer, testis cancer, erectile dysfunction (ED), over-active bladder, PUJ obstruction and urinary tract stones.
The Urology Secretaries can be contacted on: 01935 384345 and 01935 384227.
