Gastroenterology is located on Ward 9B – where we have 24 beds and six side single side wards.
The philosophy of our nursing team is to take an individual and holistic approach to patient care which will involve the patient, family and carers in discharge planning or transfer. It is our intention to involve members of the multi-disciplinary team, as appropriate, to facilitate a prompt and efficient service, utilising resources to enable recovery, rehabilitation and a high standard of care. We aim to communicate as effectively as possible and to care for our patients in an environment that is clean and safe, preserving privacy and dignity at all times.
