All profits raised through the multi-storey car park are invested back into the hospital and support provision of services for patients and visitors.
From the South / West
Via A37 Dorchester Road – at Quicksilver Roundabout, bear right downhill. At the next roundabout continue straight across in Queensway dual carriageway. At the next roundabout continue straight across into Reckleford. Take the first turning left into Higher Kingston. The multi storey car park is on the right hand-side opposite the main hospital entrance (pay on exit).
Via A3088 Taunton, South Petherton – Leave the A303 at the Cartgate roundabout and follow the Cartgate road (approximately six miles) to the roundabout. Take the first exit. At the roundabout go straight across to the next roundabout (Crematorium on left). Take the third exit into Preston Road and continue to the next roundabout (through four sets of traffic lights). Take the third exit into Kingston and at the next roundabout, take the first exit turning left into Reckleford, staying in the left lane. Take the first left turn onto Higher Kingston and follow the road to the multi storey car park, located on the right hand-side opposite the main hospital entrance (pay on exit).
From the North
Via A303 and A37 – Leave the Ilchester bypass at the Yeovil Junction and continue on the A37 to the ‘Welcome to Yeovil’ signs. Continue down the hill, past Yeovil College (on the left) to the roundabout. Take the second exit into the Kingston dual carriageway. At the next roundabout take the first exit and then the first turning left into Higher Kingston.
Yeovil is served by two Railway Stations. Yeovil Pen Mill – trains from Weymouth, Dorchester, Castle Cary, Westbury, Bath and Bristol – approximately 1.5 miles from the Hospital. Bus service links to Yeovil Bus Station with a connection to Yeovil hospital. A taxi service is available. Yeovil Junction – trains from Exeter, Crewkerne, Sherborne, Salisbury and London Waterloo. Approximately 3 miles from the Hospital. Bus service links to Yeovil Bus Station with connections to Yeovil Hospital. A taxi service is available.
First Bus Route 1 calls outside the hospital at 15-minute intervals for most of the day. Route 1 serves Yeovil east to west (Cavalier Way to Abbey Manor Park via the town centre). This service connects with other town and local services at Yeovil Bus Station. The bus station is only five minutes’ walk from the hospital along Reckleford. Multi-storey car park
Our multi-storey car park is situated opposite the hospital’s main reception and provides 650 spaces for patients, visitors and staff. Stairs and lifts are available from all floors. The car park is barrier-controlled and uses a pay-on-exit system. Other parts of the hospital site, including the drop-off points outside main reception and outside the Women’s Hospital entrance remain monitored by automatic number plate recognition cameras.
Disabled (Blue Badge) parking
Disabled parking is located on the ground floor of the new multi-storey car park. A total of 31 dedicated spaces are provided for those displaying a Blue Badge. These motorists can also park in any other available bays (excluding parent and child, and reserved bays). Patients and visitors who are blue badge holders are exempt from car parking charges. Please validate your ticket at main reception showing your blue badge as you leave the hospital.
Pick up and drop-off spaces
Pick up and drop-off spaces, offering a maximum of 20-minutes free parking, are available outside main reception (including some wider-bays for increased accessibility) and outside the Women’s Hospital entrance. These are monitored by automatic number plate recognition cameras. Vehicles parked for longer than the allowed time in these areas or other parts of the hospital site may incur a parking charge notice.

Vehicles parked for longer than the allowed time in drop-off areas or other parts of the hospital site may incur a parking charge notice. Parking charge notices are issued automatically, monitored and managed exclusively by ParkingEye. Electric vehicle charging
There are six, Type-2, fast charging points for electric vehicles, situated on the ground-floor of the multi-storey car park, directly opposite the entry barriers. Standard parking charges and charging tariff apply. Pre-paid charging cards can be obtained from the main reception desk or payment can be made using the EV charging app details of which are displayed above the chargers
Parent and child parking
There are three dedicated parking spaces for parents with young children located on the ground floor of the new multi-storey car park. Standard charges apply.

Parking in our new multi-storey car park can be paid for with cash (coins and notes), credit/debit card or contactless (please use contactless payment if possible). Pay machines are located by the lift lobby on the ground floor. You will require the ticket issued on entry in order to pay .

Concessions
Some patients and visitors are eligible for exemption from parking charges. These apply to:
- Blue badge holders
- Registered carers
- SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit) parents or guardians
- Mothers breastfeeding children staying overnight
- Parents of children (under 18) staying overnight on the children’s ward between the hours of 7.30pm and 8am
- Frequent outpatient attenders defined as more than three visits in one month (30 days)
- Visitors conducting bedside vigils
- Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or active clinical treatments, including outpatient visits within an active treatment phase. Standard charges apply to follow-up visits, attendance to health & wellbeing events, holistic needs assessments.

What happens if I lose my ticket?
If you lose your parking ticket there is an intercom function at both pay stations where a staff member will assist you in printing a new ticket. You can also visit main reception to have this reprinted.
What is the height restriction on the multi-storey car park?
The maximum height restriction for vehicles is 2.1 metres. If you do have a high-sided vehicle we ask that you park in the 20 minute zone outside main reception and register your vehicle details with reception when arriving. Upon leaving you will need to pay as normal at reception, and your registration will be added to the system to ensure you do not receive a parking charge.
Help with travel costs
You may be able to get help with travel costs to receive NHS treatment if you:
- are receiving or your partner receives income support, income-based job seekers allowance (incapacity benefit or disability living allowance do not count as they are not income related), pension credit guarantee credit
- are entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax-exception certificate
- are named on a valid HC2 certificate (includes travel by your dependant children)
- are a war pensioner and the treatment is for your accepted disablement
- are named on a valid HC3 certificate
Please note that the hospital is not able to reimburse costs for taxi fares; the above reimbursements can be sought for public transport (i.e. buses).
