In a vibrant and modern cafe environment The Canteen offers a tempting range of hot and cold food from cooked breakfast using locally sourced produce to fresh porridge and granola with yogurt and seasonal berries. Lunch menus change daily and include vegetarian and daily specials and are made on site by our team of enthusiastic chefs. This range is supported by a variety of sandwich and baguette choices, paninis, jacket potatoes and a range of confectionery and hot and cold drinks.

The Gallery Coffee Shop is based in Outpatients on level 3 (turn right as soon as you come in the main entrance). Open weekdays 9am to 4.30pm, this serves freshly-ground coffees, cappuccinos and lattes and teas, hot chocolate and cold drinks. All of our coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified meeting rigorous standards, which conserve biodiversity and provide sustainable livelihoods. Sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and hot cookies are also available.

If you are visiting A&E, orthopaedic outpatients or the Women’s Hospital outpatient clinics, vending machines are provided with drinks and snacks. The Women’s Hospital now has a coffee shop thanks to money raised from the Flying Colours Appeal.

The Friends’ Shop

Newspapers, magazines, stamps, gifts, cards and toiletries can be bought from The Friends Shop in the main entrance on level 3.

It is open Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm; Saturday and Sunday 2.30pm to 4.30pm and 6.30pm to 8pm.
