Yeovil District Hospital offers top quality accommodation for our staff.
A new development of one and two bedroomed flats/houses is available to house up to 70 junior doctors and other hospital staff. We know that the quality of the accommodation is important to you so we contracted local housing provider Yarlington Housing Group to build, manage and maintain the properties - which are available on one year leases.

This initiative provides them, and other staff, with a high standard of living accommodation, and helps to make Yeovil a training centre of choice. The design for these homes enables each resident to have a private study/bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and is so much better than our former out-of-date accommodation.” Chief Executive Paul Mears
The new properties are situated in St George’s Avenue which is within easy walking distance of the hospital. They are also close to a neighbourhood shopping area and primary school and are a short walk to the town centre. Car parking is provided as is the use of communal gardens.

Relatives bed and breakfast rooms
The hospital has a flat ‘The Ferns’ with two double rooms and two twin rooms named Cedar, Oak, Holly and Beech. These facilities can be used by relatives and friends of patients, who live long distances away or just want to be close by.
Each room is available at a cost of £30 per night for one person and £40 per night for two people sharing a room. This includes breakfast in the Garden Restaurant for up to two people and overnight parking for one car. For breakfast there is a choice of a Full English or cereals with toast or croissants.
‘The Ferns’ has a small lounge/coffee room with a TV. For those without a mobile phone, we can provide you with a phone to keep in contact with ward staff. The accommodation is opposite the hospital.

Convamore single room
Single rooms are available with shared access to kitchen and bathroom. All rooms have a single bed, study desk and wash basin. Rooms are available on a nightly basis. Longer periods can be booked, up to a maximum of five months - prices are available on request by emailing [email protected]
